Well if anything it would fail to patch because it cant find the propper routine to patch. like I said try it. If it patches then should be able to install no problem. if there is a problem reinstalling an unmodded DEX firmware through recovery menu should solve it though. I have not personally tried it as I have no desire for otherOS right now.

There's no GUI startX fails.. then we relized that we can do it all without startx,
Almost had the guide completed but stupid us enabled 777 on root hdd and then our root account stopped working, so now we have to start again from scratch... deciding how we are gonna copy metldr and pwn to ps3 when we cant run a GUI because your guide keeps putting out a locale UTF8 error and hang on startx "command not found"

install the apt-get (google displayed how to startx) worked, but then startx failed so no gui


so ive been in a dos / terminal windows for 8 hrs now, and i hate linux so this is not fun



also editied your sh sources those ftps are too slow and redir the linux2.6 to my datacenter server for quicker dl..

will post results of this modified sh script very soon.

Well according to the E3 Team they have recovered the new keys to produce a CFW however can be assured if this is true they will not release anything for free. So maybe but for now you are unable to do this and likely will stay that way.

um if you use "tasksel" you can install GUI.

how do i downgrade from 4.11 dex to 3.55 dex again? I tried System Update, Recovery Mode and the ProDG tool but everything is telling me that the pup is corrupt

maybe you are trying to use a DECR pup, use the one for DEX.
