I have heard multiple times, but have not tried it myself that it creates (up to?) 4 partitions, so a max of 4 games can be on the proprietary formatted HDD for BD-emulation. Why shouldn't it work? Its a .pkg created from Sony's tools, and its a DEX firmware which allows the installation of those said pkg's. Only limitation I see, is that a patch has to have been released. Unless Sony has taken specific safeguards against this, I cannot see why it should not work on 3.56+ games. And since this has recently become public, I find the changes scarce that they have. Of course, afaik, they did change alot in the firmware after 3.56, so it might be that it won't, but the changes are good. |

FWIW, if anyone wants to test whether their game has had a patch released, Title IDs are listed on the PS3 Compability List. It will be needed in most cases, to see if their is a patch on the update servers.

The method mentions using an update patch in it's process. I wonder if this is required for all games therefor rendering games without a patch unplayable?
