Thumbs up

@butnut ..ah yes u right..my bad...need to test it myself first..patching for OtherOS i mean, after dexconvert noticed the otheros partition(1/2hdd) was in place, after changing the region settings to europe, it rebooted and i guess it removed the Otheros partition, atleast the hdd is back to default size after messing in FSM/debug settings

i'm about to patch a ps3mfw for Otheros, u talking about not having the 1/2HDD size, just asking...did u ticked the "Patch emergency init application" and set size GameOS on the right

btw, does one enable LV1 hypervisor(otheros support) and keep all setting on or just some? whats the worst that can happen using wrongle patched pup
firmware re-install or brick/reflash?

with "Patch application launcher" enabled it made the pup, log showed ERROR, only if kernel support it in "red" i guess thats not working for dex?...i just have mman running, ftp'd a bit made some devflash backups..first linux, it should work normal on dex right @zecoxao ? thx!

edit2
thx @zecoxao , yup warning yes.really need to take a brake but i cant' HELP lol...

tell me mate, should i do this on the 410 pup and leave 355 alone? i placed 3 updater/pups, up to some testing, first need to TEST if via Recovery doing the "Restore PS3 system" gives back the OtherOS 1/2HDD space back? need to try..thx for any tips on patches used

@haz367 that's a warning, not an error. of course the kernel supports the option if it's the latest

hey guys, i've seen a post about "avoidin software flasher on dex? could misread it

anyway, on 355dex after flashing first tested memdump (have not checked the self/gnpdrm.pkg yet/patching the pkg?)
the "npdrm.pkg installs, runs with screen "please wait ..." then back to XMB with 3 beeps.

on the other hand "dump_flash.pkg" installs and runs fine = made backup(yep takes awhile )

checked dump it's valid then again >>"same as" E3 downgrade the flashing/restoring the dump u'll get an empy "ros1 folder (confirmed by others atleast using e3flasher)
( extract dump with flowrebuilder and check the dump.ext folder)
re-installing the same firmware via recovery fixes it, so i re-installed 355dex in recovery, install dump_flash.pkg, again redump, verify = complete/both ros0/1 full, compare with ur other "hard/software" backups of this ps3, and the only thing different is ofcourse the firmware offsets and targetid , same for metldr/bootloader_/eid(dexhashed now?! ) all identical per console wise
conclusion dumpflash.pkg makes "valid" backups on dex?! pls verify if u want

looks like 355dex = 2x 5.28MB, 355cfw 2x 5.23MB

I did this and it worked I think
1. cd /tmp/
2. wget tinyurl.com/createhdd
3. chmod a+x create_hdd_region.sh
4. ./create_hdd_region.sh auto from here - http://www.ps3hax.net/showthread.php?t=23042

Go to dir

/tmp/petitboot/mnt/

type command ls

find the directory for your machine. Mine was sdd1 others sdb1 ect then...

cd sxx1 (replace xx with your usb drive letters)
