Don't be silly. If those shameless devs cared for Sony's moves they would never go the dongle street. Those people are unable to have a proper relationship with reality so fear is something they are unable to feel. It's just a lame excuse they are using. All they care is not losing money, they are not sceners to actually care. Also I could care less what an ill-minded dev thinks about things like CEX->DEX. You just can't have the luxury saying "I can't share that because of Sony" and just then sell your soul to the hell called "DRM Dongles", it's just a foolish and childish move because you chose to have your own people being your enemies instead of a company that either way it's your enemy whether you are a dev, a costumer or a hacker. Those people are just mentaly ill and when I say mentally ill i mean it with no overdose of humor or something. Is it possible for those with DEX fw 4.11 to use system update to 4.20 dex? or is there a reason this hasnt been talked about much? Is it blocked? will it not work?

I don't know if it would work or not based on the generated idps?

True but let's take a minute and think of it. Where did that hack ORIGINALLY come from???...!!!

-A reDRM dongle dev or team
-An ill fated dev or team like math
-A dev that was working with one of those guys in the past and he left because of a fight.
-All the above.

Meh, there's just no magic. It's not like an innocent developer can pop up out of nowhere with something useful, especially something that has been rumored on the "bad period" of PS3 Scene. Something smells fishy. In a scene filled with blood once your put your hands on it, you're gonna get your own hands in blood too.

It's a *method* used long ago (and still used) by Sony.
And discovered and heavly locked by *someone* that put great effort in something that went to public display. If it's my work i repeat, it's obvious that i will get mad of my info being filtered or research.
Hence it's not EUREKA i found it, and open sesame! demands some heavy reverse among many other things and knowdlege.

-A reDRM dongle dev or team = If you mean the filtered info, i doubt that a reDRM or dongle dev will release something like that, because it's bad for *his* business.

-An ill fated dev or team like math = Math was alone as far as i know, and even today with the hints, he lead me to think that in some point even with his *big* ego, he knowed something that we had certain *clues* and now with the method released...well i have to agree in some point that Math even being a ****** was right. Team? i doubt so.

I see this possible, but i think if you are in a team or something like that you have some rules to follow, it's the more coherent one. An angry one who shared the info with the wrong person or trusted someone that backstabbed him/her...who knows.

I will go for it's *relative* depends on many factors, situations, etc.
If the method was released to the public was filtered, intentional filtered? maybe. I cannot confirm that hence i don't know.
