We all need to realize that these are the risks devs take when they release info out into the open. Having this in mind I hope we are all a bit more grateful and understanding. I'm sure many of the people who are harsher towards devs would be as bad (most probably worst) than they are if they had the info and they knew spreading the knowledge would likely lead to the end of their fun.

I think if you claim to be for the scene you are obligated to release stuff regardless of what will come after, as far as the exploits being patched... because though I admire the guy greatly for what he did, I wish graf had thought about more himself. Still, that's if you claim to be part of scene, but what if some of these guys don't give a crap about the scene, and just do this stuff cause they want to? We can't really force them to comply with "scene-standards"... if they are making money on the work of other scene members though... then that's a different matter.

In any case, things are rarely as black and white as we think they are, and it's foolish for us to hand down judgement on others when we only know half the truth and try to make up the other half with our own assumptions; of course, if you know "FACTS" (not assumptions, hearsay, etc) then that is a different story.

All i see Devs help Users , Users helps Users , some Devs helps other Devs.

3 or 4 Devs releases helpfull things for the converting etc. , too move the scene forward , scene alives again.

Users already hold more 1 1/2 years their feets, the only thing I've seen some arrogant "elite devs" are screaming crying like bixxxx and give the blame to the users/community !

Why this "elite Devs" dont fight against the DRM Dongles and fxxx this kind of shxx which only profits from piracy ?

Was this actually posted on Kotaku? If yes, then Sony can say good bye to many customers. Imagine all the people reading the article and thinking "We can pirate PS3 games? :o". Then half those people heading for Google or Youtube to find how they can achieve this. I guess Kotaku hasn't really helped Sony, but made it worser for them by posting it on such a big site.

But surely the majority of those people checking out new games on kotaku are using the latest OFW in order to play those games?

The chances new people will enter the 3.55 "scene" is very slim and the window of opportunity to get a 3.55 out the box is diminishing.

We <=3.55 are the small % this will benefit.

Sony wont lose much to that argument IMHO.
