No. Converting my ps3 to DEX. So far I only seen tutorial using linux.
I have a downgraded ps3. I want to play newer games too.

You do know the real reason for the removal don't you? They used piracy as an excuse, but they already didn't include the option on the Slim (way WAY before there was any talk of actually being able to hack it, it's also the main reason why Geohot turned his attention to the PS3, because the Slim didn't have it anymore and a friend asked him to look into it).. But the real reason why it was removed, is because of IBM and their blade servers. A lot of universities and techcompanies ordered PS3's which were much MUCH cheaper than the IBM Cell Blade servers, and that did cost IBM a lot of money, since IBM was also a partner they pressured sony into removing the option, as they did with the SLIM (under disguise of technically not being possible, ofcourse we all knew even back then it was BS as OtherOS++ has proven it), but they still had the problem of the already existing Phats.. but he then comes some hacker who (almost) hacked the PS3 through OtherOS, so dang, let's use that as an excuse, willingly knowing that a hacker wouldn't update to a higher firmware and still keep working on trying to hack it through the old firmware..
I've been on OFW 3.15 for a LOOOONG time until I finally thought, hell why not update to 3.55 rebug and have the otheros++ (still haven't used the OtherOS++ part or even installed it), and hee, now I can play some extra original games I had laying around AND use my move controller which I also bought the same week...

And at this moment, I'll just watch the whole scene trying to get a foolproof CEX->DEX conversion without the hassle of Linux.. I have the time, 3.55 still is good enough for me to develop homebrew and watch my movies and play some 3.55- original games..

I been trying to convert my ps3 so I can rent new games from family video and play them on 3.55 I dont care at all about higher fw's just as long as new games from discs work I be happy.
