Nice work on the progress - definitely take extra dumps to confirm - especially when you get to metldrpwn part and you create the dump file, I would dump 2 files with metldrpwn and confirm they are both the same using something like MD5 check. before continuing.

i dont see how its worth it

cant play backups?

Now I disagree with the shady tactics of some of the devs that sat on this. I also disagree with some of the others that had this handed to them forever ago and tried to deny it (you know who you are) but the PS3 scene needed some progress. I have not converted because I have yet to see a need, but eventually I will get bored and want to tinker.

I agree with some of the reasons this was never leaked before (not everyone deserves a dex, and lots of people can't use it to its full potential) but I also disagree with the lying some of these so called devs have spread about this method. I am still being told it is fake after many people have told me about successful conversions. Once it is out, it is out. There is no use trying to cover it up now. Besides, these are not true dex machines and hinder some things that a normal CEX or MFW CEX can do. Look at how much homebrew does not work on a DEX

Congrats to the ones that are happy, but we probably just lost a lot of devs. Double edged sword. Honestly though the devs that are all bent out of shape are more than welcome to leave IMO, because it seems that some were only in this for themselves and didnt give a **** about the community they claim they care about.

I could go on about some of the people that knew about this, and tried to treat others like they were stupid, but I will leave it be. I dont want to start a flame war, but my first impression of many of the people that have known about this method was correct from the start. Certain devs as they call themselves (even admired as devs without ever releasing a thing) I didnt like from the start. Some that I did disappointed me, and the users that have known about this for a while can go to hell. I have lost a lot of respect for a few names that I will not throw into this thread as stated above.

truth hurts. Absolute truth hurts absolutely. let people tinker. it's their property so if they brick, it's not anyone's fault but theirs. No Dev should be mad unless converting cex to dex was your hustle. It's obvious that you don't need a Dex to make homebrew. bottom line... to each his/her own but if we are to progress together, stop the lies, be truthful and let truth win out.

I just bricked my PS3

I tried flashing my CEX nor image back with "dd if=cexnor.bin of=/dev/ps3nflasha bs=1024" and it completed without any errors. Rebooted from petitboot to a beepbeepbeep and flashing red light. Now it's ylod and bricked. PHUCK. Won't go into recovery or FSM. PHUCK.

Yeah... byte size probably too big. You'll be kicking yourself even worse in about 5 minutes

Nothing to say other than, Sorry Dude................totaly sucks man..........its one of the reasons I havnt tried to do it yet. Just dont see any benefit and potentially much risk................again, Sorry
