Getting a bigger HDD tomorrow have some questions...

I am getting a bigger HDD tomorrow and I have some questions, I am currently backing up all my data to my pc. I am FTping the following folders, home, game, savedata, and theme. Do I need the folder marked lost+Found? or mms?

Edit: Can I use a 1TB in a slim?

Doubt it, not sure what those are. You just need your game data and saves really.

Just remember that you hdd muct be 9.5mm in height, if it's a 12mm one it wont fit in the ps3. Most 750gb hdd are 9.5, some are 12mm so you had best check before you buy. Most 1tb hdds are 12mm, but I think there are a few that are 9.5mm.

Oh right, I thought you meant a new hdd to put inside the ps3.

Any external hdd will work with the ps3 externally via the usb sockets. Max size in this case is 2tb and must be formatted in fat32.

Unless we know the model and make of the hdd inside of it, we dont know. Can assume it will be a WD drive inside.

Only 1TB WD hdd I can find is the Scorpio Blue, and this is 12mm in height so will not fit.
