Yes. You can downgrade to Rogero without the blue ray drive attached.

But you will need to attach it before you start Qa flag part. Because you won't be able to run any apps or install OFW without it connected.

Your backup looks good. Make sure to make multiple and use statistics-file compare in hex editor, to make sure it keeps making a good dump. Sometimes the first dump will be good, then clip will slightly move causing problems later.

Then rename dump to bkpps3.bin and continue with the guide.

Awesome will do that, struggling to get the clip on, got a 2004 slim keep on get 1000110, failed to authorise nor tried sanding cos of the resistor hope I didn't damage the clip

I can't seem to make a good dump with my E3 flasher. All dumps I've had so far are identical to the one in the link. Any tips?

The dump is in the correct size 16,777,216 bytes. However, checking the dump using E3 Nor Dump Checker V1.0 gives this error msg "Integrity verfication has completed with errors", and using different versions of FlowRebuilder to Byte reverse and EXTRACT a NOR dump file gives another error msg "Could not successfully extract all dump files..."; however, not a single file is extracted.

I'll try to install the clip again, although no sign of error was shown while operating the flasher.

PS3 model is CECH-2004B

Got a good dump after removing the screws that secure the E3 Flasher mainboard on it's metal case. That just shows how cheap it was made -_-
Anyhow, now I can proceed with the downgrade

I am stuck to the step where I downgrade to: e3_downgrade

it takes about 8mins and when I restart the console acts like
if nothing was done!

the e3flasher.txt is all ok!

ending with this:
read PS3 BIOS at 0x00FF8000 ... OK.
write E3 Nor at 0x00FF8000 ... OK.
Program Nor OK.


the guide normaly says that I must see the usb cord - pad must be set...


also number two question
because I dont want to wait 15 days to arrive the downgrade stick
can I use the PSGrade with arduino ?

Do you have the switches set correctly? 1-5 down and 6 up.
Do you have the bkpps3.bin on the sd card with the e3_downgrade.bin?

Look on this list for your jailbreak device.

Good morning here is what I tried today
I forgot to mention I was on 4.21bios

I patched the bkpps30.bin
I renamed it to bkpps3.bin
I had all the switches down and pressed START

now I am on a screen that needs to use the USB cable with psPad
is this correct?

As I mentioned I will use the arduino as psgrade
like it is on the list so this normaly is now my problem
since it does not shut downs my ps3 (FSM) ?
