The people who managed to connect from ProDG Target Manager for PS3 to their DEX please post a how-to. My PC always just times out trying to connect.

My hand are itching to do this. But I have one burning question.
Does Showtime still works? I gave to Ps3 to the missus and she cant live without Showtime.
Could somebody give me some info before I get kicked out of the house.
Its not that I need Dex but I am bored.

DEX 4.11 here.

Just tested showtime 3.9-test and even though it installs fine, the app itself is nowhere to be found (probably because it's suppose to install itself under Video and on Dex this might be different from programming point of view)
Does anyone know a showtime app that installs as a normal app, in Game folder?


UPDATE: showtime-3.6.5 release pkg installs and even shows under Video but fails to start with a 80010017 error. Should I try repackaging it? I guess not because it's already unsigned. It might run on DEX 3.55, has anyone tried it? I'm feeling kind of lazy downgrading.

EDIT: Confirmed!
It works perfectly fine on DEX 3.55 even without reinstalling (originally installed from DEX 4.11) so it's a matter of firmware compatibility

I'd like to see people try if RetroArch PS3 DEX edition will run from DEX 4.11 (RetroArch.PS3.v0.9.6.FOR.DEBUG.PS3) - you can look at xbins.org if you don't know where it is to be found. It's compiled with an older SDK version (3.40 ) but theoretically it should work on later firmware versions all the same.

It loads up fine!, havent got any roms to try though,

If I'm right in thinking that no homebrew will work on DEX 4.11 because they are all signed for 3.55
So for me whats the point of going to DEX 4.11 if things like blackbox FTP, Showtime, Multiman don't work ?

Run backups yes but not one backup via a usb stick, we need like we have now with many backups on HDD which you can select via multiman.

I just want to know if there is something to be done with the homebrew that currently is not working on 4.11 DEX.
I'd really like to get showtime working. (and maybe other stuff).
As for backup loading, i think is fine as it is now... for now.
