You know what, i read the entire explanation of the exploit that math wrote HERE and from what my little coding skills let me understand, wouldn't it be pretty easy for a more knowledgeable person to adapt the metldr exploit to the bootldr since both suffer from the same fail?

It s really intesresting to read a lot of opinions, @Squarepusher2 being one of the best if not the best for the infos, credibility and knowledge can have. (and i request PocketStation emulator, thanks you in advance, no need of fancy GUI or real compatibility with PS1 disc/psn but for request is for the history of it--- serious request but you already did more than 99% of others i know that fact)

But i also wanted to try to think a bit different and at least make differences between devs saying misleading infos (some purpose can be to don t give "ideas" to dongle maker, but there are also sadly the part of bashing the end user to assimilate him as only pirate, and to keep him away from "good things" or say "it s too hard to achieve for that purpose, don t try it"----hum....and why not to just update in that case and play zombies games // there are also the job purpose mentioned on other thread )

For a so big secret about cex-dex, it was well kept for fews months and in a sense it s miracle it was not leaked (or at least videos) previously.

After, lot of people have used the ps3devwiki for tutorials, so as the same time you can not say everything is hidden. And somes devs never try to lie or tease about it, and that is the difference it should be made.

And if you have personal conflict (it s natural to have time to time on internet) you can not avoid the fact this site is a portal for the scene and making history (and if so, instead of someone like me doing most of the time cosmetic trivial edits, you have real knowledge please post there)

Ive said it many times before, there are people working on the ps3 still and all you people had to do was wait, and now that one thing has leaked you want even more? let them work, you people might be causing more bad then good, just a thought...

How many hundreds of hours do you think it took them to get where they are now? and all of it ruined just because impatient people want something to happen.... just another thought...

I agree, let them work, I haven't done the dex conversion, I'm a waiter not a bricker

I don't personally demand anything, I just look forward to more facts and fails being discovered, and reported on.

But people become impatient because there is 0,0% info given, they are left in the dark. That's how it feels like, I understand that sometimes you can't give info / screens or whatever you are working at. But keeping quiet isn't helping either.

If people know there are some dev's working they wouldn't nag that badly, well maybe on a different way (like: Plz release your epic stuff NOWWWW ! )

A simple msg like "We are currently working at '....' but we can't give you a eta / can't promise it works" can give a lot of people hope even if it turns out it's not going to work. At least the people know that some dev's are busy.

But most of them keep quiet, hell it looks like they left the PS3 Scene a looong time ago. You know what I mean ?

At the end of the day no one forced anyone to leak anything.

It is what it is.

If dev's said they were working on stuff to further the scene, it would have been better than no info/misinformation and TRUE-F*CKING-BLUE DRMing everything up.

Well to be honest it's quite hard to just say "wait and let them work" when some devs are outright liars and we don't even know what the honest ones are working on or if they will release their findings at all...
