I like your psychological approach on the argument and i can only say that you are right.

Anyways the point of this thread was to inform the people that a bootloader exploit does indeed exist, that some people are already using it and that it probably makes use of the same fail as the metldr exploit.

Now, if the devs are working on it and are going to eventually release the finished product then it's all good, otherwise shame on them, somebody else will do it or, in the worst case scenario, somebody will simply leak all their hard work once again.

Its unfortunate, but each and every time the devs either release something or one of them gets mad at another and sneakily anon releases something to us lowly, contemptuous 3.55CFW'rs its later patched/blocked by Sony so its reasonable to me that they would hold onto their secrets. I mean, they discovered them..........they are the ones that ultimately are intelligent enough to utilize them..........why on earth would they go out of thier way to disclose beneficial info to a scene that routinely ridicules and belittles them?

I must say that you are a strange one: you are saying that the devs shouldn't release anything anymore and doom all the community because we aren't treating them right and we don't deserve it because we aren't intelligent enough; you hate dongles,you hate the community and if it was for you there shouldn't be any more releases...if you hate the ps3 so much could you tell me what are you doing here?

On a side note, strangely enough you don't see this kind of things on the xbox scene: the devs here release practically everything they find for free and continue to develop things that the end users need/want/find useful and i don't think i ever saw anyone bashing them for lying or withholding important information.

I never said I didnt wish the devs would release things. I only state that its ludicrous to expect as though you are entitled and I posted my thoughts as to why I believe they would not. Is there a flaw in my logic?

In regard to your comment about me hating dongles................Indeed I do. How did you arrive at the conclusion that I also hate the community?

Look, Im totaly onboard with the whole wishing devs would release this bootloader exploit that you talk about (assuming your information is correct) but I only made my response to you to illustrate how they, the devs with this top secret info might be thinking. Its not enough to just want something or feel you deserve something. Dad used to say, "Wish in one hand and sh!t in the other and see which fills up first."

Lowly and contemptuous was intended to be sarcasm since I am one of them as well.............I also never said we as a collective are not intelligent.........we are just not as intelligent as them otherwise we would not need to post on websites trying to influence them into releasing information that they have discovered..........we would just discover it ourselves.

I wasnt trying to get into an argument with you. I was merely playing devils advocate and wondering aloud what motivation devs would have to publicly release information that would then surely be blocked, but hey, if this makes me a community hater in your opinion then so be it.

If they only gave some hints and pushed us in the right direction everybody would be happy!
And come on,they can't be seriously thinking that after teasing left and right nobody will ask for something more.
I can understand that we shouldn't feel entitled to their work but they too shouldn't take us for fools.

I know that we can't demand them to give us something. But seriously, what gives them the right to make us mouthwatering by making publicity that they are making a CFW. Then, they just have to keep it private.
