So with this 3.55 dex can we play 3.60 backups or is that for 4.00 dex fw? All games are playable now up to 4.11 from DEX console. The method in playing all of them are different. For 3.55 games & below we can do it the old way via either internal or external HDD from CFW. For newer games, we have to use the USB BD Emulator method until possibly another solution comes along. This method only allows 4 games on a USB HDD at a time. I'm talking about backups of course here & not retail discs. BTW, we can now go back & forth from CEX to DEX as well. All we have to do is change the name of the flash & re-install from USB drive. That's a plus! One other thing! The MultiMan version of DEX doesn't allow backups. If it did then maybe we could see an option other than USB HDD for playing newer games. I'd love to be able to do all of this from my internal HDD. Thanks guys!

Yes all games upto May 2012 can be played

So here are the things I gathered,correct me if I am wrong:- 1.We can change CEX to DEX and VICE-VERSA 2.Only 4 usb games , but up to 4.11 can be played using this firmware. 3.Dvds and blue ray movies are disabled on dex. 4.No Psn(risk of ban is high) 5.Can now be done without a hardware flasher by just installing a modified pup. 1. Yes 2. Yes 3. No, there is a fix available but I don't have the link handy right now 4. Yes 5. Yes, but to be safe a flasher is recommended. There's much much less chance of bricks now.

and finaly here a rapid way from CEX to DEX

Geohot's make_self_npdrm messes ELF really bad (cuts a lot from it). You can unself it, but can't fself back, sony tool just errors.

1) Many >3.56 games don't have updates, and you can't run it without update on DEX.

2) If game update have one or more *.edat files inside (FFXIII-2, or Disgaea 3/4 for example) you can't repack it correctly with this method. It repacks and installs fine, but freezing on loading.

3) You can play old <=3.56 backups via BD-Emu without game updates. Just unself EBOOT, fself it with sdk and replace in ps3gen during building.

Ok, so now people are getting 3.60+ games working on converted consoles, but still wondering how true blue is getting same games to run on 3.55 cex units.
