They hide info from the public because if Sony finds out they will patch it in a future update. But since this is bootldr I don't think sony can do anything about it since it is the first in the boot order. But what do I know, I'm not as talented as them.

Exactly. Bootldr can't be patched and knowing the keys would allow newer PS3 to join the party. At least that's what I undestand. With the bootloader keys you can decrypt everything (if lv0 falls, then everything else falls), so that would mean a completely open PS3. I hope somebody hears the users stuck in 3.60+.

You can't know the bootldr keys you can only know your bootldr key. It's a bootldr. Per console. If one person knew there key then you could just pass around lv0 and call it a day. I don't know if it's about finding your bootldr key or writing your own bootldr and fake signing it with Math's metldr exploit (both are encrypted with the same method). But no one wants to go that route.

All we do is talk about what we already know week in and week out. All the more knowledgeable people do is reiterate what we've known for months upon months. What's the point? The community talks about what's needed to be done and no one does it (maybe the dev's try/do but that's not my point).

They should let us know everything at all times or never, ever, ever speak about anything and I mean ANYTHING. Ever again.
