somebody noticed that you can replace dex coreos with cex coreos without loosing debug functions? and i can rip disc now in mm the normal way without filemanager

right now i am testing this "hybrid" a bit

and about the latest mmCM release for dex, it somehow only works on dex ofw in system software mode. if i use a peek and poke patched dex, mm 04.03.00 freezes on startup.

Same here, had to reinstall version 4.01.00 + Dex mod to make it work and play with the backups

hm, nice. i can still run fselfs with retail coreos patched with peek and poke and debug functions still working.

some advice, be careful with debugger mode, as i couldn't exit it, at least i have to take a look at the documents. the only way to exit was to perform fsm with a dongle. in fsm i could change the debug setting to release/system software mode

@Mergy
sorry, but i have a very low internet speed. just look for euss ps3mfw builder git and use his patches for lv1/lv2 and his new nas_plugin patch for debug

edit
i am using mount pkgs usually, which mount games to app_home without usage of a backup manager. these are built with hermes syscall 36. on official dex or peek and poke patched dex these do not work. but now with retail lv1.self and lv2_kernel.self these work fine, even packed as fself.

I exited Debugger Mode by doing video reset (hold down power button and release it after the 2nd beep)

as long as you do not format you will not loose it. but how can you use linux on dex? i am using the official ps3mfw patches, which apply fine on dex ofw, but somehow i cannot reboot to petitboot. all other things work fine and give 2 beeps.

@Pingoo
i have tried all other things, but it didn't work. the ps3 was stuck in debugger mode, either with a blackscreen or the debugger running
