PSN, PS2 Ports

Hi, I'm new to the the PS3 Jailbreaking scene. Right out of the gate, I know from a hundred different sources, that playing a PS2 ISO on a non-backwards compatible PS3 won't happen with a dongle or downgrading down to 2.50, or something along those lines. I know that much. But what about the PS2 games released on PSN? I thought that the piracy community would've had their way with them by now. Is there some sort of firmware restriction preventing you guys from "getting" those games for ourselves?

I don't know, it's something that's been nagging at the back of my mind for a while now. Especially since I found out God Hand is now on PSN.

The support for those PS2 ports was implemented on firmware 3.70. It isn't present on the decryptable firmwares (3.56 and lower), unfortunately.

Now that you mention it, what's the next CFW, from 3.55, is the closest to a possible JB? I've heard that some guys were working on a 4.11 crack a few weeks ago.

No. Just leave it at that, Do not search for 4.xx CFW on google, bing, DuckDuckGo, YouTube, ANYWHERE. Its not real. 3.55 with a cobra dongle is the best you'll get for PS2 iso loading/Emulation.
