If you use another theme than standard, the icon will change.

Hello Dean,

I have converted my NAND PS3 to DEX and now that I am in Rogero 3.55 DEX. I am looking for way to switch from DEX to CEX easily and vice versa. I have been reading through the NOR guide. Where the latest mmCM allows you switch from DEX to CEX or CEX to DEX.

What should I do now that I am in NAND DEX? I have all the dumps from preloader advance and eid0 from red ribbon. How can I use mmCM to achieve the switching. Now that I am on NAND Dex, I am looking for a way to use MM to dump 3.55CEX dump. You can't use the dumps "backuprflash.bin" from preloader loader advance. c2d.exe can't accept them. I think c2d.exe only reads dumps generated from latest MM. Now that I am in DEX, I wonder how MM would generated CEX dump. I don't want to go Factory Service Mode again.

Will it be possible to release a win32 tool to extract the "355CEX.NANDBIN" part from "Backuprflash.bin" (got it from JaiCrab Preloader Advance v3.1)?

Please advice. Thanks.

If other experts could also advice, it will great. Thanks.

I got a question I was hoping deank or someone else could answer.

I'm wondering how to get multiman to play a random song at startup from the tracks saved to my internal HDD. I know all about replacing the sound.bin to get the SAME track to always play on startup, but I'd like a random song to play at startup.

Somehow when I was updating my friend's multiman we got it to work by accident, we weren't even trying, it just all of a sudden started playing random songs at startup. I did my best to try and replicate exactly what we had done later to my own ps3 but couldn't get the same results.

Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

edit:

Go to 'Theme Audio' settings in second column on Mm and select 'MUSIC'. I usually QUIT Mm to save that setting (although needing to quit Mm to save settings may be an old feature but I still do it out of habit)

There you go. Mm will then select a random track from your MUSIC folder to play and you can test this by loading it again.

Hope this helps.

BTW if you do not have the 'theme audio' setting in the options column then press triangle and select 'advanced settings'. This should bring up all the settings for Multiman.

Dear all, I just updated from 02.xx.xx to 04.04.03 and i accidentally change the initial theme as mmOS.After that, every time I access to MM, it directs to mmOS menu, I have try many ways to get back to MM setting(XMB™ style) but failed to do so.

In brief I am not so familiar and still exploring to new MM version and want to find way to get out and go back to MM setting(XMB™ style) and change the theme launch.

Anyone can help ? Really appreciated with detailed steps included.

go to the settings, change the theme to default, change the default view to XMB and set it to fixed as XMB.
