Wouldn't it be ideal for a new person to go read the FAQs? Actually, I think it's obligatory according to the rules to first read the introductory FAQs before posting anything. Anyway, as a new member, it most certainly would be ideal, to first poke around and look a bit, and understand the place in due respect, before starting inquiring anything. All you asked about, can be answered by ½ an hour of looking around, AND you would not be so rude as to demand any of us would take your time on you, when you wouldn't even take your 30 minutes, to spare us of hooking you up with everything. What kind of ****ing rude behavior is that you show? Have some respect. TL;DR: Look around and you will get your answers, and you wouldn't come out as rude, very stupid, ignorant or as a person that didn't give a **** about us, and just wanted your answers, if you did that. Also, its actually quite fun to look around trying to understand these things, try it. (Hint, the big site banner actually says "click here for tutorials") (Another hint: GregoryRasputin in here just made a GIANT tutorial filled with questions and answers that might be relevant to you, you should go look it up, even if you do find your answers) Sorry if I come out rude, you are just not the first one to ask that or the latest.. And I cannot understand why you would not seek these answers out yourself - or atleast try at first, when it actually requires time/work of us to do it for you..... If you know what I mean.. Anyway Welcome! Hope you will stay stay (And enjoy your stay! :D). (Which the majority would if they keep hanging around after finding their answers... besides, if they do, they would also be the first to hear, when some new program or development is out )Edit: Removed some of my swear words to make it PG13. Edit: Here is the tutorial from GR, it might be a bit hard finding (perhaps) if you aren't used to the people and forum architecture in here: http://www.ps3hax.net/2012/07/ps3-ja...ised-for-2012/ Last edited by oPolo; 07-23-2012 at 07:13 AM. |

I am VERY much in doubt about it. Just checked PS3Devwiki and there is ads on it, so they are partially or completely financed through ads, so by using it, you potentially take some of the money away that ps3devwiki earns to sustain itself. I wouldn't use it for that simple reason, whether it was allowed or not.
Besides, you download an application from a website in order for it to download a patch from a website.. wouldn't it have been easier to just access the website and download the patch to begin with -_-? Besides the application needs to be updated, to be able to download a new patch, when one is out.............................. So everytime a new patch is out, you would have to redownload the application to download the new patch... Would be easier just learning where to download the patch AND ps3devwiki has a quite easy understandable design..

And this is why i don't create apps for the scene. Users here are not grateful with anything. The apps i would create would be simple and effective like this one. It makes it more convenient to download the FW than having to just go to the website all the time. Any work put in to creating apps is time put into the scene and if i started creating apps i would have stopped long time ago! People need to learn some manors! The users who complain if they don't like it then go and create your own app for the scene!
As a side note to the dev, the look up for the links associated to the files do not always work. For some reason the look up writes letters within the link multiple times and as a result it doesn't link to the correct files. Also with the host addressing, sometimes i receive unknown host addressing. WIN 7 I ran your app with and without admin privileges. |

Nobody complained about it, it's a genuine comment pertaining to the creator and the devwiki. I would totally use this myself, sometimes my morals go out the door on weird things too. Pros: Quick, easy, accessible, at your fingertips convenience. Cons: hot-linking, potential (minimal) loss of revenue for devwiki ((from not seeing the ads) which however a LOT of people use ad-blockers so.. does it really matter?) There's gonna be pros and cons to all things. That's the balance of the universe. Can't have lopsided boobs everywhere, what fun would that be? Again, I have to stress, it's just constructive criticism.... people need to learn how to take it and use it to their benefit instead of see all of the negative about it (again, there's always pros and cons, good/bad, up/down, flacid/erect). Thanks @PsyOil

Granted most people here are trolls. But as you stated, most use adblockers/script blockers(myself included). But there are so many noobs and trolls that make up their revenue. So i really do not see that as an issue. I think devs need to be thanked more for their own time used in creating apps, instead of users sending comments such as "useless app" etc.
