Seems the one from Deank's thread gave me the error: Multiman cannot access or create backup .. bla.bla..

So I got the 04.00.01 one with the Dex Patch as multiple people had told would function.
It's indeed the only remedy, everything works as intended.. BD to HDD and booting up from HDD.

At the 2 people above could you please read around a bit more before posting...

If we required the keys to play 3.6x+ to play them on 3.55 and DEX 3.55 came out at the same time. HOW would we be able to play it on DEX WITHOUT knowing the keys? I don't understand how people still try to say "well it's DEX therefore it skips key check right?" or something else. (Somehow we can skip the combination to the bank's vault too! NOT!)

Simple answer no. You'd have to upgrade to 4.11 DEX. Problem, we don't know the keys so we can't decrypt the firmware and add peek/poke.

from what i've read. if you use a disc, you can play games 3.56+ why would this not apply to using your external drive? because mounting games in multiman makes it think you have said game in the disc tray.

i didnt automaticly assume that it would work, it was a question as to if this was tested or not. no need to get your panties in a bunch. sorry for seeming blunt in my answer, i just respond that way to some posts. sorry.

Yes on DEX 4.11 not on DEX 3.55 which is the only version we can peek/poke for. You don't know the keys otherwise to play 3.6x+ games on 3.55 DEX.

Can I install that DEX FW on my 3.55 MFW CEX console (80gb fat) like we do with normal firmware pup (as a firmware update) ?

No you can't. You have to have linux or do it with the recently released tools to dump some things and then flash them.

Can we play a game on dex 4.11, if the game need the newest fw 4.21?
Or do we have to wait dex 4.21 for that? Thanks. (If so, we have to wait every time for a new dex fw leak right ?)
