Just make sure you validate your backup. If you have a good backup of your nor flash, you can recover from any brick.

I have tested the method in this guide. I use the method in my guide mostly. I have also tested the unbrick method.

Just remember, make sure you have a good backup before doing any flashing.

BTW - All the info on setting up ps3grade device is on ps3devwiki.

EDIT - Oh yeah. If you use the Samsung update.bin, you only need to update the flasher once. Then you can use on multiple consoles.

Okay just some last questions and a big thanks for your help, i tried some other sites like psx-scene but no replies. First off in this tutorial, I did manage to get your samsung 10.28 update for e3 flasher. Um, say we were to backup multiple times, do we have to update the e3 flasher every time? Also when we preform this on other consoles do we have to do the update for E3 Flasher, and if we have already preformed a downgrade on a console, can we do it again and do we have to use a higher upgrade? If we already downgraded and say wanted to go from normal e3 Flasher to E3 Flasher dual boot, i'm guessing we repeat steps right? Lastly since I really want to do this method with a fail safe for bricking, from steps 2.3.17 to 2.3.22 are the same like steps for the e3 card reader, which is what I am going to be using, how would i integrate the e3 card reader into those steps, whould there be any differences, thanks

Hi, thanks for this great tutorial. I have one question.

In step
2.3.19. Copy the files Lv2diag.self and PS3UPDAT.PUP from the Downgrade_Files.rar package of the folder enter to the ROOT (not subfolder!) of your USB Mass Storage Device

Can I replace that PS3UPDAT.PUP (I asume it belongs to rogero 3.1) with the latest PS3UPDAT.PUP file of rogero release (v3.4)?

Try and use Rogero's PS3 nor dump auto patcher.

I used it on Windows 7 with no problems.
