If it could be done then it would certainly be a big step up from the whole flashing thing where you have to cross fingers and pray everything goes alright every time you press the "OK" button.

Thinnking of it we would just need a "converter pup" and an app to write our keys into it. once that's done and flashed the console could be updated as dex.

What a dream!

EDIT: I have no idea if this is even possible, but its great to theorize.

also : in before "its not possible" or "firmware pups dont flash that bit"... :P

So. Everything fine so far with that DEX thing. I know what I need to know. But isn´t it possible on DEX to play from burned BD-R? Isn´t the Dex making no difference from retail to burned disc´s?

There are several topics active right now on how to do it.

For starters you need to be on 3.55 CFW so you will need a hardware flasher IF your PS3 is NOT a slim 3k model, if it is a slim 3k you are SOL.
