Couple minor questions regarding DEX
I have been seriouslt considering sitting my ass down and coverting to DEX my only two concerns are:
1. do Media servers such as PMS still connect to it since this is the main use of my PS3 currently 2. will older games still work via Multiman? and using the current methods available to play backups on Dex does it require a functioning BD drive? Edit: 3rd question will a Razer keyboard and mouse work on the ps3 or will I need a more generic keyboard and mouse Last edited by screw_ball69; 07-23-2012 at 12:54 PM. |

1 - It should, unless that application requires peek and poke access, I think peek and
poke is only required generally in back managers. Other applications should still work. 2 - Sadly it doesn't seem to be the case, as only up to 3.55 has access to peek and poke, which is required to run backup games. And you don't need a functioning BD drive because the backups will be run from the USB. 3 - I think as long as the Keyboard and mouse are USB it will work. The only problem is making it play nice (Meaning what you type is what appears on Linux) |

with the pup i just uploaded (check the front page) it will allow you to have backups and install retail pkgs. not just debug pkgs.

Thank you kindly guys.
I think I may wait and dig up a few generic usb devices before doing this though, I've had razer products not play well with Ubuntu |
