For the 3.55, no can not play anything higher than required for 3.55 CEX.

Yes, you can update to 4.11 DEX (or 4.20 DEX though I would wait til someone tests the 4.20 DEX) and play higher games

Yes, you are able to downgrade your 4.11 DEX system to 3.55 DEX once again with the 3.55 DEX Downgrade file.

The reason we say things like this are noobish questions is because they have already been answered, you just have to read through the articles (not comments such as these) to get these answers, TheFrenchy.

The reason you should downgrade to 3.55 DEX on occasion is because 3.56+ DEX firmwares do not have the "Install Packages" option.

Currently, you are not able to go back to retail, but there are ways being explored. Besides, there is hardly anything that CFW CEX firmware can offer that DEX now can not. We have many CFW of DEX firmwares that do almost exactly what retail CEX systems do now.

so we can convert 3.55 cex to dex then upgrade to 4.20 dex to play backups from hard drive without any problem of keys ?
i thought peek n poke coudln't be use on fw 3.56++ (even dex) this is why i dont understand anything.

there are not mutch "french" news about it and my english is limited sorry about that

That is correct.

Peek and poke is required for backup managers (homebrew), but the method for running back ups on DEX doesnt use peek/poke or require a traditional backup manager. It uses PS3gen. Google it or read the thread about "how to play 3.56+ backups on DEX"

I trust your firmwares and atm devwiki is down so we cant download any firmwares to try this out. I am downloading hermes 3.41 with v4 payload as we speak from a weird source, but I cant remember if it required a dongle or what
