Connect to PSN to sync trophies?

Hey guys,

I'm looking for a way to connect temporarily to PSN in order to sync trophies. I'm not interested in gaming online, although I suppose that whatever I have to do, both will work or none.

Is there any way to do it without having to use dongles or similar?
I have the 250gb slim model (I believe it's the first slim model that came out).

Thanks a lot

EDIT: If it's an option, I wouldn't mind upgrading/downgrading.

I should have been clearer: I don't mind upgrading then downgrading if it can be done without using special hardware.

Requires hardware and psn, at this time you currently have neither.

@carldenning I realize that and that's why I said that I should have been clearer ^^

Anyway, thank you both for your help.
If I update to OFW, I will loose the ability to run all homebrews, multiman, etc... That's not much of a problem since I don't touch most of them and getting newer games on the ps3 would be better than playing them on my PC that doesn't always handle them. And I could always get a flasher and downgrade if necessary.

However, will I still be able to delete game backups and homebrews once I update, or should I do that before upgrading?

Just follow this guide, so you can "unhack" your PS3:

http://www.ps3hax.net/showthread.php?t=35148

That's what I did (I am still doing it, since the full format of the PS3 takes 18 and a half hours) and I hope to enjoy PSN in a few months, once I get a better internet connection.
Meanwhile I grew tired of the PS3 scene...
If you want to downgrade after upgrading, just use a hardware flasher.

Cheers

Yes, you can.
Although it would be safer to format the HDD.
I think there weren't any reported bans due to CFW on the PSN once the console has been upgraded,
so I wouldn't worry that much if I were you.
You can manually delete your homebrew before you update, since it will no longer work on OFW.
In the end, it's up to you to format or not format your HDD.
