Yea, I should have done the multiman way. But I had not read about that yet when i did this.

I have the flashCEX.bin file. Is this the one I need to fix my corrupted bios?

when your e3 arrives make sure you make dump of your flash, and validate it, just in case your current dump is not valid...

while you wait for e3, you can check if your cex dump is valid, read here:

if it is valid, you can patch flashCEX.bin with downgrader patches

Hmm, deank wrote that 3.55DEX_downgrader must be installed only if on DEX3.56 and above.

And I don't think that ordinary DEX3.55 has lv1 and lv2 patched, then the instructions aren't complete?

So before converting, qa_flag the console.

What if I just flash back to the flashDEX.bin file, when i get the e3 flasher.

I'm already on 3.55DEX firmware with peak and poke.

I'm starting to think this is not so bad afterall. If I manage to fix my console.

Then I could probarly have dualboot with DEX on the console and CEX in the E3 NOR.

I think syscon will fail, but you can try

you can patch flashDEX.bin, but then you need to find a way to dehash, else you will brick again after flashing nonpatched PUP

The flashCEX.bin is a NOR dump of 3.55, and I'll try to recover to 3.55?

Anyway I can't get into ps3devwiki.com right now to read for myself.
