CEX to DEX simple/quick question

I'm not worried about any of the other parts of converting from CEX to DEX, but one question I have is can you backup game saves, and put them back on the DEX after? Or if you don't even use Linux, do you even have to remove any data?

Either way, would my CEX game saves work on DEX? Thanks in advance!

i dont see why they wouldnt, i mean dex has "fake save data owner" feature so if all else fails use that.

Thanks. Also, does it matter that ReActPSN is installed on my fat NAND? Do I gotta do anything before starting the CEX to DEX process?

It does not matter.

1. Backup your HDD via the Backup Utility from XMB.
2. Do a 2nd Backup - Copy your "Home" folder via FTP to a save location in your PC.
3. Go back to OFW 3.55. This will rule out all unknown problems.

Quadruple check every steps. Good luck!

Hi,

I need some help please. Ive been on cfw 3.55 for almost 18 months, now I want to try this DEX thing, but I dont know were to start? Can anybody point me in the right direction? (ive been on here for hours reading lol).

I am on CFW keamw(spl) 3.55, on the old fat ps3 (60gb bc model).

Ive been looking for a tutorial, but there is way to much info flying around this site, and its confused the **** out of me lol.

As I said above, I have looked so please dont have a go at me, I'm only asking to be pointed in the right direction.

I have formated my PS3 so its totally clean, just cfw 3.55 on it, 60gb HDD.
I have an external 320gb USB drive also erased.

Were do I start?

Thanks in advance to anyone kind enough to help.
