Guys, "Backuprflash.bin" generated by JaiCrab Preloader Advance v3.1 is NOT compatible with mmCM / multiMAN , so even if you rename to "XXX.EID0.NANDBIN", multiMAN will not use a 256 MB flash dump, it is expecting the 239 MB flash dump. This was directly made clear by @deank on another thread.

Based on my research when I made the guide these PS3 tools make 239 MB flash dumps:

- memdump v0.01
- mmCM / multiMAN
- Linux (but that dump is not valid for CEX2DEX / Gunner54 application for some reason)

So please don't try forcing things with multiMAN, it may end up in a brick.

Wait until I or someone who actually confirmed the process to go from DEX to CEX.

For now, just stay on DEX (there is no reason to be impatient in going to CEX, DEX has been patched to do many things already)

SeeYa!
Thanks CaptainCPS-X for your reply and explanations. I tried once yesterday and the latest mM does not take FULL CEX NAND dumps JaiCrab Preloader Advance v3.1. Actually it does not do anything. I just rebooted my console and everything was just normal in DEX. So I plan to just stay in DEX until new method arrives.

I'll be looking into this at a later time because right now I'm not willing to brick my only hacked PS3 to figure it out (gotta repair my other two DEX to CEX bricks.....). beside I was sure to make a dump with a few tools before I was informed that the preloader could dump the entire nand.

Actually speaking of removing the bootloader, I got a message from @deank mentioning the same thing.

Otherwise you can 'convert' it yourself, by removing 16MB from the start of the NAND dump (you'll have to have the IDPS/EID0 section at 0x40800, which in your dump is currently at 0x80800). So remove 0x40000(HEX) / 262144(DEC) bytes from the start of your dump and try with c2d/mM.
As you have said it, it might risky as it may cause a brick. I guess we have to wait till next week when @deank updates his mM that will accept 256MB full NAND dumps.

Thank you.

If I am not wrong, BD emulator HDD will format your HDD in Sony's proprietary format (SPUFS or "Synergistic Processing Unit File System). Windows can't read them.

You should visit this thread.

I had this problem too, in the search bar that comes up when you press the tab for the dump, type the first few letters and it will show up.
