Backup of my own disc situation ?
I keep my discs away from scratches. Most of my own games are backed up on the hdd and i am at peace knowing that i dont have to bother with purchasing em again in case they crack or go unusuable.

One man's back up might be other's piracy.. but then its the interpretation.
Simply sticking to what might be possible is being very rigid.

Hello.

I'm traying to run GT5, but it don't appear in XMB.

• 1. I have configured PS3 with Boot mode: Release mode, BD Emulator USB and HDD Native. In 3.55 DEX Rogero Firmware.
• 2. I have packed all updates in one, with package.conf in 02.07 version and have installed on 3.55 DEX Roger Firmware with no problem.
• 3. After that i upadte to 4.11 DEX firmware.
• 4. I have created HDD Image with GT5 PAL BCES_00569 (no errors during proces).
• 5. Now when i try to start ps3 with USB plug it, after PS3 logo the PS3 freez and i need to restart. The second try the ps3 boot up, but GT5 not appears in XMB.

What is the problem? Anyone have tried GT5 and al help me?

Try plugging it into the farthest right usb port. I was having the same problem but that fixed it for me.

My question that I'm on DEX and I connected my external HDD go to DEBUG settings ... Format BD emulator HDD ... and after this when I plugged in my PC it did'nt detected. What could be the problem?

I tried to write on my HDD which is formated by the PS3 with ps3gen tool, but this program cannot detected my HDD so i cannot write games on it.

Should be able to with DEX FW 4.11/4.20.
