if you save the image below you can then zoom in to see the pads BTW YOU DONT NEED THE VOTAGE REG ANYMORE bridge the 3.3v pad and break the 5v trace and then connect Vcc to the 3.3v pad on the ps3 this solves an issue with some ps3's not booting while teensy++ is still wired up :- ![]() DNY-001 board Last edited by baileyscream; 07-23-2012 at 05:05 PM. |

Hi,
I creataed dumps( about 10 times ), I compared using HxD and it is matching. Then I cross-checked using HxD, everything was fine/ The problem happens when trying to byte reverse and extracting the dump, it shows error. Using Flowrebuiler it fails, here is my dump file : http://www.mediafire.com/?hh8338w7c690e7b Can you please help me. |

Choose "Extract a Byte reversed NOR dump or an interleaved and unscrambled NAND dump." and it extracted with no errors.

I did follow that guide. I did modify my clip, a lot.
I did finally get good dumps and downgraded, successfully. ![]() Now working on a CECHG01. I have gotten good dumps from nand 0(top). But nand 1(bottom) is a pain in the arse, again. I have 0 bad blocks with nand 0, but the lowest amount of bad blocks I have gotten, with nand 1 is 190. ![]() I'm gonna keep trying in a bit. Some more cleaning the pins, and maybe modify the clip more. I even got some new spring clamps. But it is hard to find some that will fit perfectly with all the stuff in the way.

these are what i use for both TEENSY++ and ProgSkeet:- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/24AWG-1pin...item3a721a40cc wire guage from ps3devwiki
Wire reference For wiring, use 20-26 AWG. 18 can be too stiff while 28 is too fragile. 24-26 AWG works fine in most cases. The Grounds and VCC wires may ofcourse be thicker than the signal wires. Keep wires short, up to ~20cm max (longer gives errors). The shorter the better : 15cm and shorter mostly works fine with AWG26 on NOR. For NOR wiring the solderarea (the NORpoints) is 10x larger than the solderarea used with NAND (pitch 0.5mm, just as NOR chips btw), so for NOR you have much more headroom (and also need!) to use thicker wires (for NAND you most likely want to use 28 AWG and cannot use much thicker) Use caliper to measure unknown/unmarked wires and compare with above table/listing.
