Try a different USB stick and start again. I had problems with a travelstar USB but worked on sandisk.

Hello Friends,

If you have successfully converted to DEX, please visit this thread.

Code:
http://www.ps3hax.net/showthread.php?p=399713
Please help @CaptainCPS-X in the NAND research in attempt to make your full NAND backup compatible with latest mM.

For folks plan to convert to DEX, you should install latest mM (during last the steps of stage 8) and obtain the mM flash dump as well. For switching CEX<->DEX.

Thank you.

hello captainCPS-X .... I need ypu help....
difficulty within 2 days flashed on the index and then the problem! in general immediately flashed on 4.20 and it all fell without the problems do not have time to even try to start the game, I ran into the eyes of the section is created and the remainder of the OtherOS extra 22 GB / / / formatting it is certainly not cleaned and I decided to go into recovery menu (on his head ) and do a system restore PS3 - last point - and so in general after I did it I was only run recovery menu which is why it says to upgrade to a minimal 2-70 .... when you insert the stick with the same index 420 .... he thinks he thinks and says no update found ... What to do? I'm sure it's not brick all the same ...

I have successfully converted my console in the DEX unit - and put it on her 4.20 - everything worked fine - then I was still employed 22 GB under Linux - to remove them and free up space, I went to recovery menu and chose the option which is called - Restore System PS3 - still does not boot wHOSE - after turning me out, please just update the firmware 2.70 or above - I tried to put - 4.20 DEX on which he was to the point, and 3.55 DEX downgrader - all to no avail - update was not found - (correct folder names PS3 UPDATE PS3UPDAT PUP course I know) .... so I'm staying in the recovery loop ....what should I do?

Guys, sorry once again for not being around answering questions as frequently, I been busy doing things in RL, and the PS3 I ordered didn't solve my problems, the person who sold it, told me that it had a BD-Drive problem only, but it was the YLOD problem, so I'm still without a "hackable" PS3, since my other model is a NOR on OFW 4.11, and the E3 Flasher hasn't even shipped.

I will be around, but I will not be able to answer some questions, since I don't have a PS3 to reproduce the different scenarios.

SeeYa!

ps3 @ps3 :~$ cd metldrpwn
ps3 @ps3 :~/metldrpwn$ sudo chmod +x ./run.sh
[sudo] password for ps3:
ps3 @ps3 :~/metldrpwn$ sudo ./run.sh
+ insmod ./metldrpwn.ko
insmod: error inserting './metldrpwn.ko': -1 Invalid module format
+ cat metldr
./run.sh: line 4: /proc/metldrpwn/metldr: No such file or directory
+ sleep 1
+ cat appldr-metldrexploit350.self
./run.sh: line 6: /proc/metldrpwn/mathldr: No such file or directory
+ sleep 2
+ echo 1
./run.sh: line 12: /proc/metldrpwn/run: No such file or directory
+ sleep 5
+ cat /proc/metldrpwn/debug
cat: /proc/metldrpwn/debug: No such file or directory
ps3 @ps3 :~/metldrpwn$

Almost there and now this !!!
************* [ - Post Merged - ] *************
It did generate a dump_eid0.bin once, however it appeared to be currupt/invalid as the cex-dex would not generate a vaild file (cmac error)

going to shut down lunix for now, hopefully someone on the forum can help. Also if this may help i had placed the metldrpwn folder in home/ps3
