Only if you get your hands on the decrypted eboots (thats how tb works).

It says Yes, and then No, and that sentence in general doesn't really make sense. For us regular CFW backup game running, non-devs, non-hackers, non-tools users, simple scene guys, it's just a "no" right? Since I have no idea what "decrypting 3.60+ selfs" means. If that's the case, perhaps you should start the answer with "NO" :P

I thought that there was some way to play 3.6+ games too? Something about only being allowed 4 games selectable at a time max though? granted, I've been out of the loop for a while

You have most of the data about the conversion and even terms that any user here knows, first to understand what the method means and second what is a *self file*

To answer your question:

1) Yes, you can play backups. But some games only can be played via a DRM device/s (AKA = True Blue) even in DEX you cannot play some of them, because you still NEED the DRM device, just for the ones that we have no patches to run on CFW.

2) Nobody came close to reach a decryption/method about the selfs on the Eboots that DRM devices uses, Afaik. (Only E3 team released two *free* Eboots)
So long story short, you can play backups with DEX but not all the games.

The response is crystal clear = Yes, BUT if you want give it a shot to decrypt by your own means that selfs. (Unless you are a quantum hacker) I suspect that the answer is NO.
On the other hand, if some decrypted eboots got leaked or we learn how TB or the next dongle from E3 works. You have a wide spectrum of choices...(which i don't see that happen) since no one here has a *naked* or *decrypted* eboot/s or even a *method* to start with.
And im talking about TB (not other clone DRM devices).

afaik any 3.6+ game worx via bd-emu on DEX if theres debug update 4 it but only 4 games per partition r possible on external HDD (did any1 try USB key?) so only few r mentioned in compatibility thread like R3, TM, DD, DS, KoF, etc.

anyway i wanna ask if easiest solution is MM method - upgrading 2 DEX 4.11 & switching 2 CEX/DEX 3.55 so we can play both 3.55 internal & 3.6+ external, or is there any easier method without need of format HDD, installing linux etc?
