I tried to downgrade another ps3 slim, with JSD-001 MOBO with spansion nor, everything was ok, after updating it with KMEAW 3.55 the console bricked. I connected the progskeet again to debrick it , but the console wont stay on. Can ya help me >>
And, I did the 3.3v and R8 Closed and R7 open ( with switch ), the computer wont detect progskeet I also did the ATX power supply method, 3.3 and the ground from the atx to the ps3, that also not working. the proskeet is showing up but when I click DUMP CFI it fails Last edited by MJ999; 07-30-2012 at 10:35 AM. |

right now your ps3 will turn on (green light) then turn off with fault light (flashing red light) 1, you need to remove the mains power lead from the ps3 (DO NOT PLUG THIS IN AT ALL) 2. wire up the progskeet and the 3.3v on the progskeet to Vcc pad on ps3 3. close (bridge / switch on "if switched) BOTH R7 & R8 (DO NOT POWER ON THE PS3, REMOVE THE MAINS POWER SUPPLY) 4. plug in the progskeet to the pc. the pc will detect the progskeet 5. set the winskeet up to your NOR chip type 6. click "dump cfi" it should dump 7. click "dump" it will take awhile as your powering the NOR & progskeet from the usb 8. check your dump as in the guide (this is to check the wiring is still ok / the clip is still attached correctly) 9. if it checks ok then click "erase" in winskeet this will take awhile 10. unplug the progskeet and un-bridge R7 & remove 3.3v on progskeet to Vcc pad on ps3 11. the ps3 will now turn on and halt as normal as described in the guide section ( Flashing the ps3 ) 12 follow the guide from the section ( Flashing the ps3 ) and use your patched dump not this one to flash back to the ps3 13. @baileyscream
Just to let you know that Im waiting for a response from
@racer0018
, but if he can't help me, I will definitely pay whatever I have to pay to send my PS3 to the UK to you, I really want to fix my CECHE01 / NAND.
You seem like a very trusted user and with good experience. I really regret using my NAND ps3 for DEX experiments, I should have used my Slim for that. I will let you know as soon as possible what I will eventually do. Thanks man! SeeYa!

thanx baileyscream very much for this tutorial.
will i followed your tutorial to the letter. and i have done the NAND and verified it, but as you said i put it on the IRC so someone can double check it for me. but no luck for 3 hours. I checked the Nand and compare it to your verification and with Wiki Site. it looks ok, but since this is my first downgrade i don't want to continue without someone doable check it for me. can anyone help here and this is the link: https://rapidshare.com/files/2546848103/Dumb01.bin thanx EDIT1: Some one at IRC helped me, thanx alot for this guy EDIT2: i flashed the nand but i have got 7 verification failed? is this normal EDIT3: baileyscream you can add to your guide that some Spansion 128P chips fails to verify when flashing the patched nand. and winskeet 111004 has to be used using zadig as libusb0 with option to flash it on MAX 8 BYTES!!!. this is what worked for me, thanx to IRC for the help on this one also Last edited by 3absiso; 08-11-2012 at 03:41 AM. |

if you put an @ before my name (or anyones for that matter) then i will get a notification that you have left a reply for me ie @baileyscream that was a long time to get a reply but the dev's on there are also very busy so just post your question and link to your dump once and they will reply. if you post over & over without waiting for a reply then they will get pissed and make you wait. like i said they are very busy over there. i am glad your downgrade was successfull. did you remember to de-hash after? this is where most ppl go wrong so if your not sure just do it again as it wont do any harm repeating that step. and finaly. i will add it to my guide and see if i can recreate this verify fail that you had so i can check / find a better way to flash / add something to check before the final flash. |

ummm, will i really searched and looked for them but i found the ps3jig for the psp and used it, it loads fine but the ps3 will not turned off and the message of connecting ps3 controller appears. i feel something wrong here, i was on 4.21 to start with. where i can find the jig files of the dongle? also when connect the dongle to PC it is not recognized? One more thing, when i try to turn off the ps3 slim, i do not press once i have to keep pressing for about 8 sec until it turns off? is this normal. since i have another working slim ps3 and when i want to turn it off i only press once??!!!
