converting DVD to .VOB for ps3 playback

just curious here....iv been doing a few DVD conversions to .VOB as ps3 reads those files, anyways a few have actually missed some of the ending of the movie,im using WONDERSHARE DVD Ripper Platinum, gives you the option of dvd conversion or lossless DVD,the files then get converted to .VOB,why would it be missing some of the ending of some of the movies ive done? should i decrypt the movie onto the HDD then proceed in doing it this way rather then have the movie in the dvd tray and letting it just convert straight to .vob
Is there any better programs out there that convert the .vob into one single file rather then having a few .vob files you have to join up,cheers, any help would be greatly appreciated.

On linux I do "cat *vob >movie.vob" in the directory I have the vob files. Works a treat.
