Hello, I've bought my first PS3 console today, a CECH 3003A 160GB slim console OS:4.11.
i want to jailbreak it in order to play pirate games copied discs .... etc
I've been reading on the subject for quiet a while and i understand that in order to jailbreak it you need it to be 3.55, is there any way that i can downgrade without using a hardware flasher such as E3 ?!

and my main concerns are :

1. if jailbreak works out for me in the end, will I be able to play pirated games and copied games ?! (if jailbreak will not help me with the games thing, no need to help me with anything else )

2. is my PS3 jailbreakable or is the model (CECH 3003A) too new ?!

3.Will i be able to downgrade to 3.55 without a hardware flasher ?! if not, is there any way i can jailbreak my current version of OS ?!

i'm sorry for my first long post, but i really need help.

sorry to tell ya but with that model you are **** outta luck.

there is no current way to hack/downgrade/warez on a 3000 series

i really need a second opinion on the matter.... i've only had it for one day and i will not buy an original game because i think its outrageous to pay 60 or 50 dollars for a game, i cant even buy used games or any of the other solutions that i think people will suggest because i live in jordan (middle east).

isnt there anyway in hell to do it ?!
if not is there any way in the near future? because i read that new CFW for 4.0+ OS is being developed but that was like in january.

please help because i'm going to have to sell it and get an Xbox 360 instead.

With that model you are stuck with original discs only as there is no hack, downgrade, jailbreak, warez on that model.

By all means wait for a second opinion but it will be the same.
If you want to wait to see if in the future there are ways then cool but i wouldnt expect anything to be honest. If you want a warez machine then xbox is always the obvious choice.

Sorry guys, i didnt mean to disrespect any of you.... i'm so mad and frustrated for spending a **** load of cash to get it that's why i asked for another opinion, and i had it for one day and now i'm gunna sell it and get an xbox 360.
i've been a diehard PS fan all my life but it seems that this time it let me down...

no disrespect taken.

if you go for xbox, make sure it it is also hackable in the way you want

RGH is the godly mod at the moment but requires a certain model/kernel (do not update it until you know which kernel and motherboard it has)

flashing the drive should still work fine as should the drive emulators that are on sale though but always check fully before buying.

pre-owned is your best option for full compatibility if you go the RGH route
