i didnt know anything about PS3 things OS, CWF, Model Series, Flasher ... etc until i bought it, and i dont want it to happen to me again with the Xbox 360.

i just want my new console to be hackable or jailbreakable to play pirated and copied games, i believe it would be much simpler and easier with the Xbox 360 because of the old DVD discs.

please help with, WHAT NOT TO BUY ?!

if you simply want to flash the drive and play copies then any should be fine but you may want a second opinion on this as i have limited knowledge.

but be warned that there is a good risk of being banned from xbox live if you are not very careful

i'm fully aware that its a 100% chance of being blocked from xbl .... i wasnt looking for online gaming in the first place ...

and does the xbox 360 jailbreak process involve in any hardware modifications?

to flash the drive will need some hardware to connect it to pc for flashing in most models. some newer drives may require a new PCB altogether.

older fats may simply need the dvd drive connecting to a compatible sata port to dump/flash the drive while others need a probe
unfortunately there is no software only hack

you will need to verify the model of drive for a definitive answer to its method as there are quite a few revisions

At the moment for flashing drives all phat xbox 360's can be flashed but the slims are limited. Thats the root to go if u just want to play pirated games. Its pretty easy to flash it and you can do iy for free. I have a xbox im selling right now thats flashed and i'd br happy to sell it to you provided you pay shipping since jordan is half way across the world from me.

As far as I know, in regions outside USA, new PS3's can cost even more, for example in my country the cheapest PS3 you can find in retail stores is ~ 300$. But anyway, what I would do is sell the PS3, get an used one with 3.55 (preferably slim) or lower and the rest of the money could be spent on purchasing one or two games so that certain backups will work. Weird thing is that I could find PS3 bundles with GT5 in one of my retail stores that haven't been sold since like summer 2011, so with a little bit of luck he could still find new PS3's with 3.55 or lower.
