Dead Space is proof that the original Resident Evil style would still be a big hit, get it done capcom.

Resident Evil was one of my favourite games series since childhood. The thing I liked with classical RE games is that they originality made them special and what they are. When Resident Evil 4 was announced I didn't know what to think. But, when I played it, it was one of my favourite games. RE5 was more action oriented and playing with partner took the essence out of it. And RE operation raccoon city only shows us they will abandon their originality for money. What I am expecting out of RE6 is an action/adventure game and not survival/horror.

Sure, ORC was a money making exercise made by the SOCOM team to be a certain style of game. I don't think it has any bearing on the proper games in the series.

I'm not sure why Capcom abandoned the old style when they made RE4 but I loved it anyway. I love RE5 too despite not being a huge fan of multiplayer or co-op games - they changes made from 4 to 5 were a necessary evil for the co-op system to work.

I've watched the gameplay footage for RE6 and I'm pretty happy. They've brought some of the darkness back from the earlier games. Not sure how many puzzles there are but there's never gonna be another game like RE2 so get used to it. Not like there were any great puzzles in RE4 anyhow - kill dude, take his eye, use it on the door. Real head scratcher that one!

Could do without pointers telling me where a door or a gun is, don't need my hand held thank you very much. Hopefully there's an option to get rid of that crap.

If I feel the need for something old school I've got RE:dc, RE2, Nemesis & CVX on my PS3 plus my Gamecube is always nearby for any REmake or RE0 action I might want.

So yeah, I'm looking forward to it and that fact that it's out in a month instead of the two I thought is making me more excited! Hopefully Leon will finally man up and bang bang Ada Wong!

With RE6 I think they're trying to statisfy both action and horror fans. As far as I can see the Leon part will be more "RE style" (more creepy if you wish), and the Chris part will be more action oriented (similar to RE4/5). At this point I'm not exactly sure how Weskers' son (forgot the buddy's name, silly me) part wil play. Maybe a bit of both, but we will see soon enogh. My money is on Leon part.

Ya I still enjoyed 4 and 5 but they are nothing like the oldies on the ps1.

But I have a question.Wasnt Resident Evil supposed to be a scary game? Not once was I scared or at least a bit unsettled in 4 or 5. They were good for what they were but they were not survival horrors like RE1, 2, 3 was. I remember playing the oldies on the ps1 and was so crap scared at some points I had to pause just to get a grip.

Ok I thought to myself that I was also quite young so maybe I was scared for almost anything back then...so I took the time to play RE2 and 3 this year again and It was certainly not because i was young. The music, tension, feeling of being alone, needing to survive and the puzzles aswell were awesome! The music is down right creepy at times and there is not a feeling quite like walking down the road in one screen and in the next having nemesis greet you with a roar along with a sudden spine chilling and atmospheric musical

On a good note Operation Raccoon City had nothing to do with them and Capcom has stated that RE6 goes back to the dark and sinister side of RE. So after hearing that, they have my preorder

When the HD version of CVX came out I played it for the first time in years, think I actual **** my pants when a bandersnatch slapped me! And don't get me started on the Crimson Head's in REmake!!

The new ones are more "****! there's like 50 ****s coming at me" and the fear of being over run. Totally different. Can still be effective if Capcom do it properly though.

As far as they're not L4D zombies, I'm all in for that. Been missing the zombie (real RE ones) fellas for quite some time.
