I have a problem i dont know if I was 100% successful because I can run official DEX firmwares but not any modded (Rogero, itskamel, Exeedy) im able to update and downgrade no problems but everytime I run any homebrew my ps3 freezes only awesome file manager works. Example multiman doesnt work on any cfw dex only on ofw dex but doesnt have peek n poke for backups anyone experience this? any suggestions?

Almost there and now this !!!

It did generate a dump_eid0.bin once, however it appeared to be currupt/invalid as the cex-dex would not generate a vaild file (cmac error)

going to shut down lunix for now, hopefully someone on the forum can help. Also if this may help i had placed the metldrpwn folder in home/ps3
Instead of running the commands "sudo chmod +x ./run.sh" and "sudo ./run.sh" try "chmod +x run.sh" then "sudo sh run.sh"

How did you mount it eventually? I get the 'not found' message and tried everything..

EDIT: I got it in the command to work, I changed 'sda1' to just 'sda'

I'm stuck in step 8-11, after selecting 'automatic partition" red ribbon tell's me "the resulting partition is not properly aligned for best performance" and I can't go further. I tried looking it up and as far I understand this could be because OtherOS did not set the start and end points of the partitions properly. any experience on this?

I don't know if this is important but the system has a 500gb hdd installed right now. Should I replace it with a smaller one?

If anyone cares, I made a little guide for NAND which doesn't require linux. Took me about 5 minutes to convert my CECHG01 to DEX. It's based off of JayDee78's guide.

Hi guys,

I converted my nand console to dex a week ago but I'm trying to revert back to cex since that day but unfortunately the flash seems unbreakable now. when I try to reflash my old backup with jaicrab loader it just gives 3 led blinks and shuts down but it doesn't writes the flash. when I go to multiman it still shows as a dex console. I'm on rogero cfw 3.4 now and I don't know what to do. there is no tool to change the target id to cex for nand dumps. I can create nand dump from multiman but c2d.exe doesn't recognises it and gives the "wrong file size 16mb" error. I need a tool to change the target id of the dex nand dump which is created by multiman on cfw3.4. please help I'm sick of this dex
