This is ridiculous - you ask a valid question in the help forum and someone says just wait for the fix??? that defeats the purpose of a help forum right?

The point is if you cant help dont respond, and if someone can then please do.

anyway i'll ask again
"yes I would like to know how i can decrypt 3.60 .sprx using scetool ? I get
"Error: Could not decrypt header"
3.60 eboots decrypt fine"

Whoa chill out.

Have you tried an alternative tool to fix with like ebootmod/ebootfix 0.5?

When I tried decrypt portals files using SCEtoolgui and ebootfix I could not, 18 out of 21 worked fine, the others threw out errors, now all of a sudden there is a portal 2 fix (which I cannot recreate).. All other games I fixed work perfectly first time..

When I said wait I meant better tools that can deal with these will come out to help you patch.

yeah thanks for the info -

I did try the ebootmod/ebootfix 0.5 but they never worked for me - with all new keys etc. no files are ever created just empty newly created folders

- I have managed to get several game updates with scetool - i've tried - working except this damn .sprx file

Ok about scetool, on the front page there's a link with a supposed "how to" but when clicking on it I just get folders and files to download, which I did.

Can anyone tell me how to use the scetool? Is it just dragging ps3_game on scetool.exe too?

EDIT: Tried the gui, browsed to eboot.bin, click on decrypt, then I get an error.

I suspect it can however, it may need to be updated with 3.60 stuff - I would assume it is a case of just using the self tool to decrypt - currently it states it has decrypted but no file is made. I have no experience with this tool - I have only used it to unpack updates so far
