If you want to release anonymously just get a cheap wifi dongle, and walk around a neighbourhood until you find an unencrypted signal. That or you can hack into anyone's wifi and then use their connection to upload the files.
You could also go to an internet cafe, just buy a cheap second hand laptop which wont be traced back to you. In a full internet cafe, you cannot find out who uploaded the files.

well to be fair sony wouldnt have anything on them really, people launder stuff through other peoples IP'S every day... but i think the the point is that its easy to be anonymous.

i kind of see the net as the wild west or in medieval ages, authority dosent really exist here and its very easy to get away with illegal activity's if you know the right places to look, and a lot of it go's on right in front of their faces but they cant do a thing.
