Working Portal 2 fix out now
DEFAULTDNB have tried decrypting portal 2 on my own with ebootfix. No luck, where is Portal 2 fix? Do you have to use blu-ray mirror on CEX multiman?

Sorry for sounding like a caveman, typing on phone and chasing after a toddler at the same time. :D

Header fail is because unself from ebootfix and friends cannot handle npdrm i think.

You can see here for more details. Except, i cannot find the package to download anymore.
unself2 and unself3 are included in ps3tools these days. Unsure about the npdrm keys.
http://www.ps3hax.net/showthread.php?p=266475

I have setup ebootfix with unself3.exe renamed to unself.exe, and i keep getting the same header errrors like you guys.

SCEtool will unpack those eboots for me just fine though. So why not use that instead of the (older) f0f tools? Didn't test it with sprx yet myself..

Ok to confirm what doesn't work. Testing with RAGE 3.60 update.
usrdir has eboot.bin and patch.self

From f0f tools, none of the unself.exe, unself2.exe or unself3.exe can unpack the eboot.bin
This also means deank's ebootmod/fix can't do anything with it.

Scetool can unpack (and repack) the eboot.bin with no problem.
But, scetool has "[*] Error: Could not decrypt header" problem with patch.self.

Taking a look at portal 2 next.

Edit
Same story for portal 2. Eboot.bin can be decrypted with scetool, but the sprx files.. not decrypting.
(Obviously it must be possible to decrypt the files, since there is working fix for portal2.)

So we know we can decrypt, we have the 360 keys, we supposedly have the tools, yet we still have problems. And we still see some people decrypting games like Portal no problem. What are we doing wrong? Haven't others noticed problems too and therefore leading to the ones who could decrypt show the right way of doing it?

Well somehow @ifcaro (correct me if I am wrong, I thought ifcaro released it???) managed to decrypt everything in Portal 2 and make a working (universal) fix..... I could not replicate a portal 2 fix with any of the tools available either.....

I used scetool for decryption and makeself for encryption. I just did that.

just saying, if you look on the fix sprx, they have np header, which is not typical for sprx/selfs (but maybe these need it for repackaging?)

or maybe we need 3.56+ npdrm keyset
