I have been reading this forum for sometime and people do read, but it isn't always straight forward.

Especially when everything you read elsewhere is explaining how you can JB at 4.11 and 4.20

I'm another stupid idiot, oh sorry I am not calling the other people stupid idiots, I do not know them. I know myself I tried downloading those STUPID junk and fake files from You Tube that claimed to be JailBrakers for 4.21. thank goodness none did any damage to my ps3.

Sounds like you got off lucky mate. It's always best to read up and search out as much info as possible before trying potentially dangerous things on your expensive consoles.

No and Yes.

As stated, you cannot JB any firmware above 3.56 yet.
If you are above 3.60, that includes 4.21, you have to downgrade using a flasher to 3.55.
Technically you can JB 3.56 but you have to use DH's POS and it's not recommended due to other problems it causes.
Then you have the issues that all 3000 ps3 models cannot be hacked, and some 25xx models cannot either, and then other models which came with 3.60 from the factory so you cannot go below to 3.55.


The elsewhere you talk about, let me guess you had to fill in a survey before you could download the files, well congrats, that person just made some money from you filling in the survey and made you download ofw 4.21 or something that will brick your ps3.
