anyone want to share info on how to fix the eboot from updates?


EDIT: i have the recommended tools but the problem is scetool does't resign the eboot right

i can say u for sure this method doesn't work for me. when i install my pkg and run the game it crash to xmb and give some code error. as i said to my previous post when i put a fixed eboot from some developers then the game is running. i did all steps with decrypting and encrypting eboot but nothing works.

This tut does work for several games, it depends what game you are trying to patch.??

i tried skyrim= nothing
i tried dark souls= nothing

those are patched and working well
but i want to learn how they can do that if is possible. also they haven't any sprx any other file that need patching just eboots 3.6

Well, some games also still need sys_param patch (which i as of yet don't know how to do) otherwise they still ask to update and/or blackscreen.

Edit: @haz367 figured that part out already:

i managed to pull the files while it's busy to check it out the differences now i can see it looks for "sys_param" in the decrypted EBOOT.ELF and changing it to 00 34 00 01, it puts the file in the TEMP folder EBOOT.BIN while EBOOTMOD is doing a "make_self" on the ELF

Couldn't find this in Dead Island eboot though..

I stumbled upon post at ps3iso.

apparently TB bypasses the 8001003C error. I decrypted / resigned the MKAK 1.02 update and Tekken Hybrid. Both play with TB plugged in but shows 8001003C error when it's not. Strange right?

Got no TB so don´t know just sharing

Well gone try another machine later for creating a eboot for skyrim.
If that will not work there most be something in my key set of my scetool.
