i remember on 3.41 there was a tool to set dev_flash in Dev_bind or somthink

i think it was Mount_Alejandro an then you are able to write to flash.

at moment the files they have post to replace is the Softemu from 2.60

so we know that from 3.60 there is a new PS2 emu to play the PS2 classics so there must be a way to replace this file so i still wait bevor i replace any file.

Well I read the title and again I got too excited... I love the fact that you can now play your own PS2 games on your PS3 (any model, how it should be), I have been waiting a long time for the playing of backups. Even though this doesn't allow backups to play I am grateful for your progression, any progress is better than none.
I have most of my PS2 games backed up on my ps2 Hdd, but some of them (GTA:SA for example) are modded, so I like to play with things mixed up a bit.
That is an ultimate goal (in my opinion) of this scene, being able to do what you want to with the PS3 that you the consumer bought, adding plots, weapons, characters, you name it, creativity and fantasy bring out some of the most interesting and the most unwanted things (It can't be helped where there is one there is another, you know the whole balance thing Yin/Yang). Anywho to sum up... A step in the right direction so thank you.
