New LV2 Patcher? is this public? and is it possible to apply the patch with MFW builder instead of running a tool?

samson - lv2patcher freezes DEX consoles (that is to say CEXtoDEX) with firmware 3.55 from Rogero. Do you have any idea? When you start a black screen and the console is all suspended.

hmm it seems as though patch 4 isn't included in the pkg download. do we need to depkg it and repkg it with the new patch?

no just install lv2 patcher , make a new .txt file call it patch4.txt pastie the pastie save and copy/ftp to dev_hdd0/game/LV2000000/USRDIR.


@StealthLord no idea why its not working on the converted cex to dex, maybe need the dev_flash files from dex 2.60?!

thanks, I thought of doing that but whenever I went that little backdoor with other things in the past it didn't work half the time. I ended up just finding an old download of d0zspatcher and it rebuild the pkg perfectly. I tried to boot Legacy of Kain: Defiance and got up to the memory card screen perfectly but as others have said the controller doesn't work and it's plugged in and I have a slim. it was all worth it just to see that playstation 2 logo on my ps3 haha

EDIT: tried to boot Swap Magic 3 Plus just for fun, definitely a no-go haha. oh and you have to hard power the ps3 to get back which if you have a slim means physically unplugging it, kind of an inconvenience but its all good

i have tons of ps2 isos that i can play and load perfectly with the cobra dongle ,got it for just 30$ shipping included ,what is exactly people so happy about when they will have to buy original disks every time they want to play a ps2 game ?assuming you will pay a ps2 disk 5$ from ebay +5$ shipping =10$
3 original ps2 games = 3 ps2 games=30$ (plus ps3 lens maintenance for reading ps2 games)
1 cobra dongle = 2016 games=30$ (no ps3 lens maintenance required )



reading earlier posts on this thread seems everyone just have the need to hate something ,in this case a usb dongle ?! keep on hating it

as for me i am going to keep mine till i hear about loading ps2 isos considering that did not become available on ps3 even till now at the end of its Career and ps4 is going to be released
