I know a lot of news, theories and conspiracies have been flying around but I still want to state what I think about the news by Team E3 and the suprise release of the 3.60 keys (except the npdrm, whic I suspect shall be discovered soon in a matter of time in the same suprising manner as the keys) and how a 3.60CFW will make Team E3 a winner in all fronts..



Currently a few of the 2K series slim models and all of the 3K and 4K series models are not capable of supporting a CFW since the minimum downgradable firmware is 3.60 (in the 4K series it is still not exactly know what the minimum downgradable firmware is but the page states either 4.00/4.10)

Team E3 is famously known for its E3 flasher which can downgrade a compatible console from 4.21 to 3.55 and also provide dual-boot. Consider this, the 3.60 keys are released, a 3.60 CFW is not so far off (I sincerely hope so) and the 3.60+ keys are not available. Therefore, once a 3.60 CFW is released, all those people who currently own the consoles circled in the picture above can now downgrade to 3.60 (using an E3 flasher) to enjoy CFW functionality. At this point, Team E3 could release its DRM Dongle to give the capability to play games requiring the 3.60+ keys and voila!! There comes a windfall of $$$ from all directions. Now, this is just a theory, and I am not considering the implications of the CEX-DEX method in this case. But something tells me, its a damn good one. What do you think?

Yeah I can see what you are saying, there is 1000's of consoles ( 160gb/320gb ) out there that came from the factory with 3.56.
So if a CFW 3.60 came out people could downgrade to 3.60 using a E3 flasher.

You maybe onto something here, like the way your thinking.

They said they were going to release the keys and eboots for free so I don't think there is gonna be a dongle.

The only 3.60 Keys that were released are the 3.60 APPLDR Keys, which are used only to sign APPS/Games. The key that is necessary for 3.60CFW in LV0 key. It is obtained, because APPLDR keys could not be obtained without it, but it isn't/hasn't been released. We won't see 3.60CFW until LV0 key or PCK0 is obtained. PCK0 - PerConsoleKey0 aka the holy grail of PS3 keys

Hopefully...it would mean literally thousands of extra PS3s could be jailbroken and I bet there are many just waiting for this to happen and would give quite a bit to be able to downgrade to 3.60 but are currently unable to 3.55.

You are absolutely right.. But until now obtaining even the APPLDR keys was being potrayed as a dream task but look here they are and no one knows how they were got.. So I suspect the LV0 keys will come soon as well.. And we never gonna get the PCK0 - imagine the riot otherwwise!! from being the most secure console of the generation the PS3 will then become a joke when it comes to hacking...

i think even if they release 3.60 or 3.70 cfw their sales of flasher is not going to increase
because a lot of people are noob and they give their ps3's to professionals and you know one flasher can downgrade thousands of ps3
they can only profit if they release 4.21 cfw with dongle
so for the moment i hope none make a dildo or watever

The implications of the C2D is the fact that people are having trouble reverting from DEX-CEX. Which is something that could also potentially boost flasher sales. Let's face the facts, we know how the scene is. These keys will only keep the scene pacified for so long. Pretty soon they will want to play newer games that the 3.60 keys won't be able to. That's going to be your catch right there. And that's where I see E3's dongle coming in to make more money. I think there are other people who have keys besides tb and I think E3 is stepping on the toes of those people in this process. There will probably be a retaliation release and so on and so forth. Get your popcorn ready.

Taking for granted *we* plural knows how scene is. It's a little bit delusional.

/me thinks *real deal* in term of business are the 3K and 4K series. If they don't manage to do something about them, well. They will stall and eventually get a huge drop on their sales.
E3 team can manage to survive with the E3 flasher, but TB team..dead?.
