That's correct. As far as i can tell, if you install the official '3.60' sony pkg, then replace the SFO and EBOOT in the GAME directory, it still will claim it needs 3.60, even if you place a correct SFO with say, 3.41 inside it.

If you fw version is spoofed, this doesn't matter offcourse.
Also TB firmwares don't care and have this error patched to allow laziness for whoever creates the update PKG

So what you need to do, is fix your SFO (hex edit to 3.41) and EBOOT (use my bat file), replace them on your hard disk in de unpacked PKG, then use the sony package creator from the SDK to repack that into a new PKG, and install that one.

Ahhhh... so we could just create a blank package without any eboots in it with the correct id and change the version check from 3.60 to whatever... would be a nice feature in multiman or something to fix this without creating a new package.

I prefer to just copy the eboots directly a lot quicker than copying packages, loading multiman, finding the package and let letting multiman put it on the xmb, then installing the package. But then that's just me.

And could we not automate the package creation as the script already knows the contentid... just need it to make the config file?

I could cobble together up a modified .bat file that generates a correct PKG with contentID inside.
But you would still need to use a hex editor to fix the version in the SFO.

(It's not too difficult to do the whole thing by hand, as the current BAT file already prints out the contentID, repace that in the package.conf and run the sony tool to create the package.)

No need to hex edit there is a tool for editing SFO's which is a bit easier, but if we just edit the SFO first then run bat with automated package creation with the compressed eboot then that would be good .

do you mean 2012 or 2011: http://www.dualschock.com/eboots/F1%202012%20BLES01311/ I could only find this one that says 2012, I'm sure a working fix for 2011 must be around somewhere:

This one says

BLES01311_F12011_v102_Fix.pkg
http://rghost.net/39559748

I dont have the game to find out for you mate

Thumbs up

One question: why does installing all official updates and then replacing the eboot+param manually in hdd0/game/bces00569 give me the message that the game needs FW3.60? (no spoofer)

When I package the eboot+param as muny21 explained it does work. What is different?
not sure but it worked fine here, overwriting EBOOT/PARAM for GT5, no need to make package again, also one should edit the PARAM after re-encrypt just before making package
no spoofers here btw, always remove the PUP anyway and another thing i've seen is people not getting a backup to load from APP/PS3_GAME, boot it from the disc icon instead

thx again guys, finally we can make our own

that would be great to include in batch. but youd still need to include in bat to also change package version right?? i dont edit sfo, i just let multiman change it when i load game. its easier

So since some People wanted a "complete Package"
I tried my best to achieve this

1.Download the following files:
1.1http://www63.zippyshare.com/v/36884834/file.html
1.2 http://ps3devwiki.com/files/devtools/scetool/data/
1.3 http://www.ps3devwiki.com/files/devt...ys/ps3keys.rar
Put the Files from 1.2 into */Tools/data and the Files from 1.3 into */Tools/.ps3

2. Put your "Eboot.bin", "Param.sfo" and the "Icon.png" from your Update/Game to the Main Directory.

3. Now start either "Ebootfix (Updates).bat" or "Ebootfix (Disc games).bat".
(I think you can see from the Names when you use which Batch )

4. Wait untill it finishes and grab your Package from the Main Directory

5. Install the Package on your Ps3

6. Enjoy your Game!

It's still no complete Package, but I gave my best
I haven't tested the Fix for Game Discs, but I adapted the Lines from Asures Post: http://www.ps3hax.net/showpost.php?p...&postcount=137

Thanks to @Asure and @longhornx for their main work on this!!
(I hope it's okay that I used your work ? If not I will delete the Files!)
