Very first game I bought when I purchased my PS3 and I still haven't played passed meeting the arms dealer for the first time.

Also (touching on the bolded part above), I thought the title of the thread was quite obvious and if you come into this thread having read the article after reading the title knowing what's going to come of the article and you STILL leave negative period having comments that sounds pretty purposeful to me.

When did the avid gamer turn into such a gimme gimme princess? I used to love getting all of the old gaming magazines and flipping through them reading all kinds of articles pertaining to different games, platforms, ideas going around about new technology, etc. This is no different. It's a freakin gaming website...

I normally ***** about this to real, physical people but seriously...the mentality of the people in this world is getting ridiculous. The technology boom has probably quite significantly contributed to people's IQ's dropping more so than any drug or alcohol or dirty panties people sniff. Everybody is ****ing lazy, self-righteous, unappreciative of what they have, ignorant and selfish arseholes nowadays.

Read a book. Better yet, read an old Nintendo magazine for christ sakes!

Glad to hear about this. Wish i wouldn't have traded my copy for heavy rain but then again both games r in my top 5 for playstation. Top game of all time in my opinion is SMB3. LMAO

Yes this game made me buy a ps3 and i agree both this and heavy rain were amazing but smb3 dang it is hard to beat warp whistles the shoe racoon mario sheesh...

Unfortunately the update requires FW 4.00, so its not fixable with the new keys.
I read that there are some game fixes in this update too, so i was interested in it.

Although it require the 4.0 keys. I'm sure someone on team E3 or Duplex is a hue mgs fan, and will fix the update _^ I'm looking forward to playing wit trophies finally :-D gives me another reason to ignore stupid people by burying myself in kojimas world for weeks again ^_^ great post and thanks for making it front page.

I chose to not ignore this article because I wanted to voice my opinion about everyone wasting devs' time *****ing and moaning about something as trivial as "you didn't give me trophies in this knock-out amazing game"

I'm not indirectly saying anything. everything I meant was up front and to the point. I'm not some chick who has an underlying meaning to every cryptic word that comes out of my mouth. I meant it's lame that there is an article announcing the fact that the dev was pestered so much by gamers that he had no choice but to put whatever else he may have planned on hold just to acommodate the greedy whiners who aren't happy with what they already had gotten...which, like I mentioned above, is a knock-out hit.

If you saw some hidden meaning in there, you've looked too far because it doesn't exist.

My point? trophies are lame. complaining about a lack of trophies is even lamer. lamer still, is reporting on the fact that people succeeded in delaying development on another project to force the developers' hands to making (free) trophies for whiny people who just can't be happy with what they have.

I never said you wasted your time. I never said anyone else wasted their time. I just said in my opinion trophies are lame, and so is complaining about not having them until you finally get your way. The article is written just fine...it's not my fault if you decided to report on a lame topic....that's your choice.

let me put it like this....how do we know that MGS5 is't in final production stages, but on the back-burner now because of this stupid trophy pack??? We don't...and for all we know, it could be. Now...in this hypothetical situation, would you rather see MGS5 or a trophy pack for MGS4??? I mean, let's be perfectly honest....who wouldn't rather see a game dev work on a future game rather than polishing something that's damn-near perfect already??
