Don't try to mess with the NAND Flash at the moment. Wait for a safer method.

Converted my CEX Nand (CECHC) to DEX

I've had just one "problem" on the Step 5.2

You said :

2- Move the "METLDR" dump we got from CEX2DEX to the "metldrpwn" directory that was copied.

But if you leave the METLDR in capital letters once you run the script (run.sh), on the Step 8.23 you'll receive an error and at the end, dump_eid0.bin, will be completely empty.

After a little check on the run.sh, I've noticed that it was looking for metldr and not METLDR

So maybe is better to put an extra line in Step 4 or Step 5, for example 4.6 or 5.3, like that --> 3- Rename the file "METLDR" to "metldr" (lowercase letters).

hi can you use step 2 and 3 from the tut to dump dex flash.ie dex backupurflash.bin i went into factory service mode as explain in tut to try and there was no dex backupurflash.bin on the usb? any info would be great many thanks

Only if you have a USB dongle. It is safer that way.

Aren't we supposed to copy files from "STEP_11"? It's the same Lv2diag.self, but it has a different advance.cfg. From reading STEP_11/advance.cfg, I reckon that this one deletes rflash and writes it with the DEX one. The config from STEP_3 clearly looks like it is supposed to dump 256MB of rflash to USB.

Yes make sure you use the files included from step 11 or you´ll just dump the flash again.
