New Challenge

I am trying to fix mw3 with update 1.02 for bles 1431..

decrypting will give also 2 self files to decrypt.
default.self and defaultmp.self.

If i try this command :

d:\ebootfix\TOOLS>scetool.exe --decrypt ..\default.self ..\workdir\DECRYPTED.ELF

scetool 0.2.8 <public build> (C) 2011-2012 by naehrwert
NP local license handling (C) 2012 by flatz
[*] Error: Could not decrypt header.

I cant decrypt them, the fix or bles1431 did decrypt them so it should be possible.

Keys are correct..

WOOHOO!!! Got GT5 working on 2.07 at my first attempt of playing a game on DEX!!!
Read reports here that it works so thought i'd try it. I packaged 17 pkgs from 1.05-2.07 into 1 massive 3.5GB pkg. It took over 45 minutes to install the pkg from a slow usb stick but it works great!!!!

I envy You :P Is it really true that when you convert to dex any game works on it? Or you also have to decrypt eboots along with this whole mumbo-jumbo? I'm seriously thinking on conversion since your post that 2.07 works on it I've seen many tutorials on how to do it but I'm still hesitating..

If you want convert console its very simple if you have NOR. i convert mine and its pass good and fast without linux and blablabla complicating.

I'm sorry but I have a question about Gran Turismo 5 and I didn't wanted to make a new thread. So, I have GT5 Spec II with 2.07 update (on DEX 4.20), but I see cars that are in the dealer store, but cannot be purchased (because are part of different DLC's, obviously). Anyone's got some DLC available? Or an idea where to get it from. A PM would be nice, so we don't have to hijack the thread.

is it risky because of bricking if you want to CEX back? or are only NANDs bricking if you are not DEX-CEX converting properly?

the GT5 DLC question is interesting. i'd like to know that, too.

this i cant tell you with sure, but i know that nand consoles are very bad to downgrade. i have one nor and i try almost everything on it without any problem, but nand...( i have 3 nand bricked )
maybe i try install cex again just to see how its work but i need one more hdd because my internal is 500gb and have games on it
