We as mods, have the same problems.
PM'S about something a problem from a user that has 0 posts and don't want to make a thread in the proper section.

You can choose to ignore, but it's useless.
Honestly i don't blame them, but sometimes i have the *feeling* that most of the users that send private messages and ask are the ones scared of do some thread that eventually OP will get bashed for make *naive* questions because after all they are *n00bs* to public view.

Staff of HAX has to deal with spambots (not so much on this weeks) and this questions.
We were n00bs sometime on our *virtual life* (im still one).
If the user get's very annoying like @japsander said, just report the PM.

So true.

Anyone with an ounce of intelligence will not be a noob for long. Those kind of people I don't mind and will help if I am able too.

Its the ones that keep coming back after being told countless times READ, READ and READ again are the annoying ones. These users just don't listen, and they are not all kids either!

If a noob after reading those tutorial and still does not understand it, shall they give up on ps3 or post a question but get humiliate by some smart axx. What i think if you don't like what people ask just avoid it and let those who willing to help answer it. If no body answer him or she (ignorant ****er) they will quietly leave the scene and what i think of those complaining about a lot of noob asking them this or that is just a sign of telling everyone how intelligence he or she are since everyone is asking them.

I agree with what Stuck said.

@stuck? point is valid.
But @hellsing9 statement is = It's internet, don't expect warm welcomes and kisses if you ask something.
Sadly the way some users reply to n00bs it's a simple reaction:

*I know more than you, so im entitled to make fun of you and make you feel inferior*

Then you have the n00bs ones that have zero respect towards the authority of the site.
And so on...
So depends on how you see the situation, and many other things.

Nothing new on there, most of them want all served in a silver plate. Most of them thinks that being a MOD or a senior user or just some random user who helps everyone he/she have a mandatory *job* to deliver a proper solution to the one asking help.

It's the internet, granted. But it's still good to know that there are places you can go to talk to people and get help rather than going and looking yourself.

I know I have trouble trying to find things myself sometimes. Whether it's on google or here. And I have lots of troubles trying to sift through the search on this site. Though I know that there are people out there who are willing to help. Maybe it's not a lot but you guys are out there.

Troubled teens who call the kids help phone line don't get greeted with "help yourself the information is out there; look for it". It's the same thing, but one is a telephone and the other is the internet.

I continually see "thank you for helping, ps3hax is better for getting help than crunch/iso's forums"

That makes me proud

Everyone has a snapping point though...

There are ways to ask questions without being annoying. Most of the time they will be answered within the first few posts.

However, if that user then comes back and asks the SAME question again and again, well, that's when experienced users will get frustrated.

EDIT:
Offtopic:
@hellsing9 , what the f*** is with the avatar???? lol.
